Gold Membership is the foundation of the APWWD journey.

It gives every woman an opportunity to enter the organization, become involved, discover her strengths, build relationships, and prepare herself for greater responsibility and leadership.

At the Gold Level, members are encouraged to focus on five beginning steps:

Understand APWWD, its purpose, programs, and expectations.

Meet other women and begin building positive professional relationships.

Attend meetings, workshops, networking opportunities, and community activities.

4. Serve
Volunteer and support APWWD programs and community projects.

5. Grow
Set personal and professional goals and begin preparing for advancement within APWWD.

 

Gold Membership Message

You do not have to enter APWWD already knowing everything or holding a leadership position. Gold Membership gives you a place to learn, connect, participate, and discover where you fit within the organization.

Professional

This membership level is designed for women seeking to:

Platinum Member Standard

A Platinum Member should demonstrate:

Commitment – Consistently participates in APWWD meetings, programs, and activities.

Professionalism – Represents herself and APWWD with respect, integrity, and professionalism.

Leadership Potential – Shows initiative and a willingness to accept greater responsibility.

Service – Supports APWWD community programs, events, and outreach efforts.

Platinum Membership Purpose

The purpose of the Platinum Level is to help members transition from membership participation into leadership development.

Platinum provides members with opportunities to strengthen their confidence, increase their visibility, build meaningful relationships, serve the community, and prepare for advanced roles within APWWD.

 

Platinum Member Focus

At the Platinum Level, members are encouraged to focus on five areas:

Continue developing professionally and personally through APWWD programs, education, and networking.

2. Engage
Become consistently involved in meetings, events, committees, and community activities.

3. Lead
Begin accepting responsibilities that demonstrate dependability, initiative, and leadership potential.

Encourage and support newer members as they begin their APWWD journey.

5. Prepare
Build the experience, service record, and leadership skills needed to advance to the Black Membership Level.

What Black Membership Represents

 

Black represents leadership, excellence, influence, responsibility, and legacy.

A Black Member is more than an active participant in APWWD; she plays a vital role in advancing the organization’s mission and strategic objectives.

She leads with integrity, fosters the professional growth of fellow members, contributes meaningfully to key initiatives, and upholds APWWD’s values and standards of professional excellence throughout the community.
